Kemper systems can also be used on new build and offer many advantages. The preparation of the old roofing material is minimal and the Kemper system can be applied almost immediately. Even in the wet Kemperol goes off very quickly and provides a permanent solution for leaking roofs. Also in inaccessible places, Kemper systems offer a fast efficent way to repair leaking roofs. Kemper and Kemperol system solutions can only be implimented by authorised Agents. We are fully accredited agents for Kemperol systems and use only genuine Kemper system products - the world's leading liquid-applied waterproofing system. ‘Cold Applied’ this method avoids the use of heat or flames and instead uses specialist ‘cold liquid’ resins to impregnate a fleece-based substrate which then cures to provide a waterproof membrane. Solvent-based systems are rapid-setting but may give off fumes whilst curing. Kemper are the only cold-liquid manufacturer offering a solvent-free alternative, 2K-PUR, which make it particularly suitable for the repair of roofs on schools, hospitals and other occupied buildings. Following rigorous testing by the BBA, solvent-free Kemperol 2K-PUR was recently awarded an Agrément certificate of conformity to ETA-03/0044. This now means that both the Kemperol ‘large area’ waterproofing systems (2K-PUR and V210) now have Agrément certificates, meaning they can be used with confidence on newbuild as well as refurbishment projects. Both systems use a reinforced polyester fleece membrane impregnated with the Kemperol resin to give a seamless finish that bonds easily to a wide range of substrates to give a highly durable, yet permanently elastic waterproofing that is UV-stable and will withstand foot traffic. As both systems are applied ‘wet on wet’ they can be completed in a single day, so are not dependent on dry weather the following day for a second coat to be applied, as with all other systems which are installed ‘wet-on-dry’. In fact, Kemperol is fully rainproof after just 30 minutes. Kemperol 2K-PUR is the only solvent-free cold liquid-applied waterproofing in the UK, a formulation that in addition to its environmental credential is particularly useful in applications where proximity to nearby buildings, occupiers or residents would otherwise require temporary evacuation and considerable disruption. Kemperol V210 is a 3-component, polyester-based system that forms a permanently elastic, seamless, yet highly permeable membrane. Extremely durable and tear-resistant, it can accommodate structural details and penetrations without the need for additional mechanical fixings. These characteristics also make the system a perfect choice for the long term protection of balconies, terraces and patios. APPLICATIONS KEMPEROL 1K-PUR is highly permeable to water vapour. PERFORMANCE KEMPEROL 1K-PUR is rainproof after 30 minutes and will withstand normal foot traffic after approximately 24 hours. The substrate should be correctly prepared and primed with the appropriate KEMPEROL Primer and KEMPEROL 1K-PUR applied by roller with KEMPEROL AP Fleece reinforcement.
